Over the last week I've been spending many hours being inspired by the wonderful resources on your website, and have just signed up to the Herbal Ezine which I received this morning and it has brought sunshine to my day!! I especially loved the article on the menopause by Roselyn Sophia, I've just written to her.
I've known about your work for many years, since I first trained as a doula in 2000 and bought your Wise Woman Herbal for the Childbearing Year, and which then an important part of my pre-conception preparation in 2005-2006 (we conceived immediately!!), and pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I continue to use it in my work as a doula and childbirth educator.
The main reason I'm writing is that I am feeling a very strong calling to take your Spirit & Practice of the Wise Woman Tradition on-line course. I've read the course description, and your article on the Wise Woman Tradition, and I get that buzzy gut / womb feeling that this course will be an important part of my life path...!

In 1988, i attended a weekend goddess festival at the Open Center in New York City. you were one of the featured speakers and i attended your class. on the table were displayed your various books. this was three years prior to my son's birth and on that day, at that class, having a child was the last thing on my mind; however, spirit (or the entitity making his way towards me) moved me to purchase Wise Woman Herbal for the Childbearing Year.
Three years later, i found myself pregnant and i turned to your book, which became my bible during my pregnancy. not wanting to birth in a hospital (this was unthinkable for me) i chose a birthing center, where towards the end of my pregnancy, they suggested that i needed to raise my iron level or i would be forced to birth elsewhere. again, i turned to your book and followed the directions for the yellow dock infusion, which after consuming, raised my iron level tremendously, enabling me to birth at the birthing center. i went on to have a superb birth, completely peaceful, natural and unmedicated. your herbal knowledge saved me and my baby boy.
Susun, today, 17 years later, i am now a certified doula, lactation consultant, childbirth educator and intactivist living in the exquisite mountains of colorado. i use your book daily with my pregnant and nursing clients. i carry your book--the same book i used 17 years ago-- with me cons tantly (it is beyond dog-eared!) and share your knowledge joyously.
And as i now navigate the change of menopause, of course it is New MenopausalYears the Wise Woman Way. Breast Cancer? Breast Health! the Wise Woman Way is very interesting im in the page 71 of the first book very good advises....
